I'm starting to stress a little.
It's the end of the quarter, basically, and I've got SO MUCH TO DO!!
Tomorrow {as well as Wednesday and Thursday} is my EKG externship at the same hospital that I did my Phlebotomy externship. It's also the same hospital that my EKG teacher WORKS. Can we say nerve-wracking?! At least I don't have to be there at 4:00 AM though.
I have a TON of homework to do!
Everything that I haven't finished for my EKG class has to be done this week: a packet of heart rhythms, a couple of rhythm assignments that I have to print out, a giant flow chart that I have to finish and then give a presentation with on Friday has to be done this week.
I have two chapters to do for my advanced medical terminology class. I'm going to miss two tests this week because my externship is the same days as my medterm class. I'm going to have to do those tests in the testing center, probably on Friday, but I have to fill in the workbook {and they're LONG chapters, they all are} as well as study.
I have my Advanced CNA final on Monday, which I have to study for and because I don't know how well I'll do on that, I also need to write extra credit papers on cancer and heart disease, although I may only get to one of them. Those are due this week.
My externship for my CNA class starts on the 29th and goes until December 3rd. Going to have to go to Seattle for that one. At least I've got a couple of carpool buddies for that since it's going to take a while to get there and find parking since there's hardly any parking and it's not free. So we'll be splitting gas / parking money.
It's just a lot to do right now with not enough hours in the day. If only I didn't have my externship this week I could get it all done a lot easier! I AM excited for this externship though. Should be pretty fun.
I guess I'll just have no life this week and for the next couple, too.
On a somewhat separate note, in our CNA labs last week and today, I played the patient for a couple of my friends while they did their lab final. It's been interesting because there's something going on with me, it seems, but I don't know what that is because I haven't been to the doctor in a long time. But apparently, while they're taking my pulse it kind of flutters. My teacher is very intrigued by my vitals. Last week she even listened to my pulse with a doppler. It just kind of skips around. It's odd. As well, my heart rate has been pretty low, but when I counted my heart beats a couple of weeks ago I got 95 BPM and a couple days later I got 77. It's been anywhere in between there too, but that's normal. I just find it odd and interesting that my heart beat is so all over the place lately. There IS a heart rhythm called Flutter Waves but it is usually for someone that is on their deathbed and my EKG teacher said that he's been doing this for 30'ish years and has only actually seen a Flutter Wave once. It's just not common and often also confused with other waves. Anywho, a little tidbit into what's going on inside of me.
Gotta get crackin on all of this stuff so that I can keep my hair! ;0)
