Major Malfunction!

If you come upon a post and wonder why there's a weird black box with an exclamation mark in it, you may want to read this post to find out what has gone wrong. Still trying to figure out how to fix it all, without having to do each post manually. Until then, the black boxes remain. I thank you for your understanding. If you know someone that can help me, PLEASE send them my way!

Girls Night In

{Courtesy of Google Images}

Have you ever had the chance to get together with a bunch of women that have been in the same shoes as you?

I hadn't until last night.

Last night was just what the doctor ordered.

Women.

Infertile women.

All together in one spot.

Talking about our experiences and where we are in our journey's to motherhood.

Women that UNDERSTAND what it is like to long to be called 'Mommy'.

I've got great friends, but they're all mothers and don't know what it's like to try and try and try for a baby.  They are wonderful about listening and being a shoulder to cry on but as hard as they want to 'get it' they don't.  And that's ok.

So to be able to just talk and have others shaking their heads in agreement and understanding was just amazing.

The whole reason this gathering came about is because S.I.F. came to Seattle from Alaska to have her two frozen embies implanted.  She was gracious enough to let us all converge on her in her hotel room while on her self-imposed bed-rest.

We sat around chatting for about four hours and our conversation just flowed like we'd known each other forever.  I told S.I.F. that it felt like I'd already known her but just hadn't seen her in a long time.

It was refreshing to be able to talk about whatever came to mind and chat we did.  About anything and everything.

Thank you to S.I.F, Keely {who is also gluten-free and gave me lots of information}, Alissa, Maranda and Elizabeth {she doesn't have a blog because of her super secret job, but she knows my step-mom, what a small world, right?}.  I had such a great time getting to know all of you ladies!  Hope we can do it again!
