Major Malfunction!

If you come upon a post and wonder why there's a weird black box with an exclamation mark in it, you may want to read this post to find out what has gone wrong. Still trying to figure out how to fix it all, without having to do each post manually. Until then, the black boxes remain. I thank you for your understanding. If you know someone that can help me, PLEASE send them my way!

Christmas Prep and First Snow

The Christmas display prep for this year has begun!

On Saturday Kyle got everything he needed to dig a hole and pour concrete in order to make our "mega-tree" stand bigger and taller this year.

Yes Peeps, that would be a 33 foot street light pole that has been laying in my back yard for months and months just waiting for it's transformation.  {Last years was 28 feet and the year before was somewhere around there, too.}

When the light pole was first brought home...right after Christmas last year...you can still see the display is up.

Deep, deep hole!  This thing isn't going anywhere!!
Mixing...
And pouring concrete.
The bolts to keep the light pole in place.

Setting the bolts into the concrete and making sure it's all level.
This was Kyle's project for the whole day on Saturday.

Sunday, we got our first snow but it didn't stick.  However, I went out to go to the store and people were driving like there was a foot of snow.  The roads were clear as could be!

However, today it's been snowing on and off all day.  It stopped for a little bit this afternoon and melted and then a couple of hours ago it started up again.  There's not much there yet, but let me tell you, there have been a TON of accidents today!  I'm so thankful that I have brand new tires because otherwise I'd be slipping and sliding with the rest of them!  I did pretty good out there though.  I slid a little bit but not too bad.  I just REALLY hope that it's all gone by Monday because I have to drive to Seattle all week.  The snow will just make that nearly impossible.

I don't like the stuff hanging out around my house, but I do have to admit that it's pretty and makes things seem a lot more peaceful.

{Tomorrow it's going to be an ice rink out there though!  Yikes!}

While looking through some posts from last year, I found this one about my sister's Christmas present.  I made her a video of the boys.  If you'd like to check out my labor of love, you can do so here. =)

What's your Monday been like today?  Anything thrilling or exciting in your world?
