Wordlessful Wednesday: Halloween Shinanigans

Today I'm being featured over at Our B Life. Go check it out!!

Do you see that button over there on the top right? Yeah. I made it!! So proud of myself!! I figured it was about time I had a button, so voila! I figured it out and now I have one and YOU should grab it!! =)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Getting pumpkins this year was a bit of a chore.
I think it was a Sunday when we first tried to go and gather pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. For whatever reason, they decided to close something like four hours early that day.
We got in there and they told us they were closing in five minutes.
I wasn't happy...
So sometime later in the week, we were finally able to go, but it was after Kyle got home from work so then it was almost dark when we got there and turned completely dark soon after we chose our pumpkins.
I really wanted to go during the day so I could get some fun pictures, but it just didn't work out that way this year.
But that's ok. I still got a wagon full of pumpkins and now they line my porch steps. ;0)
If we were to go through the corn maze, this is what it would've been like this year:
That thing across the middle is a bridge, then the water and trees and wind. Pretty cool how they are able to carve out a picture like this from corn.
On Halloween day we were finally able to carve our pumpkins.
Kyle's:
And mine:
A few days before Halloween, I went to PetSmart and was able to score some costumes for Chewy and Milo {oh how they love me!!}.
Milo's angel costume was $2.47 {or something close to that}.
And Chewy's devil costume was $3.97!! Woohoo!!
We tried to get them together, but this is about as good as it got! LOL
For Halloween this year, we decided to hand out glow stick necklaces instead of candy. They were a HUGE hit!! I pre-assembled 100 and once the kids started coming, we could not make them fast enough! We had over 300 kids {and parents...and a frickin married couple with NO kids} come through! It was madness, but tons of fun! We sit out in our driveway because it's better to be outside all bundled up than answering the door 300 times while trying to keep Chewy from becoming BFF with everyone!
Kyle had a remote in his pocket and every time someone would come up, they wouldn't be expecting it, but he'd hit a button and this skeleton would pop up out of the {un-used} garbage can. Scared the crap out of people. It was especially funny when he got the grown men! Frickin hilarious!!
I'm sitting up there in the driveway putting together light stick necklaces.
Our house last year. There's actually three songs that play but this is just the one. We had this again this year, minus the 2 straight sticks on the sides of the fence.
That pumpkin wagon picture in the dark certainly makes this trip memorable! Your pets do not look very happy in their costumes, should have let them help hand out those necklaces. Our dog helped hand out the candy this year and got lots of pets! http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2009/11/our-dog-has-fun-on-halloween-too.html
Love the jumping skeleton, but I bet you scared some kids big time! I used to dress up as a ghost to hand out the candy, but when I saw some of the little kids get so scared, I changed to a clown instead.
Visiting from SITS.
Megan, Meant to tell you before that is a great button. Love it...
I checked out your blog feature. She did an awesome job. She has a great blog as well. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you were able to get your pumpkins. Did you bake the pumpkin seeds? I have several different recipes we used, on my blog.
I love the Angel Wings... I am looking for a pic of Angel Wings that I can add some words to it remembering my 9 Angel Babies. Any ideas? Audrey
I was hoping to see a corn maze around here (it's not as though we don't have enough corn fields), but I didn't see a single one!
I don't think I realized that Kyle did a halloween light show as well. Fun!
