Six Word Saturday:

Attempting to knit a scarf. Eek!!

My mom and I went to the knitting class yesterday. It was supposed to be an hour, but we ended up staying for 2.5 hours!

When I got home, I made some lunch then sat down on the couch to catch up on some DVR'ed shows and knit some more. Some how, I started with 24 stitches and ended up with like 30 or 32. I have NO stinkin clue how that happened. I got frustrated so I started unraveling some of them and then I just decided to start over from the VERY beginning. I had gotten between 6 and 8 inches knit before I unraveled it all. Now, I'm back to four rows, I think. I'm going to attempt to get back to where I was with no mistakes. We shall see how it goes.

A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting! Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and
yelled, "PULLOVER! "NO," the blonde yelled back,"IT'S A SCARF!"

Well done for persevering.
I gave up knitting a few years ago when I realised I enjoyed knitting but not sewing the pieces together . . .

I haven't knitted a thing in my life. Worn a lot of things. Never knitted one of them. If I had to knit to stay warm, I'd be pretty dang cold.

I love the comics! Good luck on the scarf! I have done the same thing so many times (the stitch and unstitch part I mean) but with crocheting. You can do it!

I'm the worst "knitter" ever!!! I just could never get it down well enough to make anything worth keeping!

I can barely sew a button on - so I am very appreciative of those who can sew/knit/crochet anything (and I love homemade items!!!)

Love the comics ;)

Hi Megan!

Hi! Greetings from Casa Hice in Jacksonville, Florida! Followed you over from Cate's's blog to read your Six Word Saturday and am smitten!

Following your blog immediately!

My step son and his wife have been struggling with infertility for about as long as you. They tried two rounds of IVF - got pregnant both times - but lost both pregnancies. Still... they continue to be optimistic, and like you, weigh their options.

Best wishes and blessings upon you and Kyle as you go forward in your desire to be parents. I'm putting you on my blogroll so I don't miss an update!

XO

Totally love those cartoons!!!!

Excited for you! But you are probably gaining stitches from that very first stitch!!! If you're not careful & the working yarn is pulled BEHIND the needle, it'll look like two stitches instead of the one it is... so be sure when you do that first stitch on the next row, make sure your working yarn is pulled down in the front of your needles... (hope that's making sense!) - EVERYONE makes that mistake as a new knitter!!!

I cant wait to see your progress!
