A Milestone For Mr. Evan

I had planned on doing "Not Me!" Monday, but I ended up getting home a lot later today so I'm just going to skip it. I didn't really have anything funny or exciting to share anyway.

But why was I gone this morning, since I don't have a job to go to?

Well, I'm glad you asked. Ha!

My #1 First Nephew started pre-school today!!

My sister asked me last night if I wanted to go and so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the Lil Booger go to his first day school!

Got to my sister's house this morning at 8:30. Evan's school didn't start till 9:15 {and he couldn't be dropped off till 9:10} but my sister is never late to anything and she wanted to make sure she had time to get him situated, etc.

The Stinker didn't want me to take his picture...and sorry, my camera didn't like the moving car.
Saying "Stinky Pickles" got a partial smile out of him.

We got there and we were the first ones there {not exactly a shocker}. So we hung out in the car for a little bit but then Evan and Kingston were getting antsy and Evan wouldn't stay in the back seat, so we went to Starbucks.

Evan with his emergency kit.
Is he not the cutest thing EVAH??! Don't let the smile fool ya! He's a mischievous lil bugger!
Evan took this picture of me while we were waiting for Dawn at Starbucks.

Then we headed back to the school. By that point, kids were starting to show up so we got out and headed in.

In front of his teacher's door.

His classroom.

Talking with Mommy.

One last hug before we left.
When we left, Dawn and I {and Kingston} went to do some errands, then back to their house. Kingston played with his trucks for a little bit. He's OBSESSED with anything that has wheels!

When it was time, we went back to the school and waited in line to pick up Evan. There was a bee that got in the car and was trying to land on Kingston. It was a tense couple minutes while Dawn and I freaked out and Kingston wondered what the hell was going on. Thankfully the bee got back out of the car before Kingston started crying or got stung...{and yes, I know, you're supposed to stay calm because bees can sense fear, but HELLO! It was a BEE...IN THE CAR... :0P }

A few minutes later, after we'd moved the car away from the threat of bees, the teacher opened the door and the parents could start going to get the kidlets.

Evan had a great first day {a whole 2.5 hours lol} where he got to play with play dough, on the playground, color and get "homework" and make some new friends.

After that, we headed to University Village so Dawn could get some things and there was a new cupcake shop opened there called Trophy Cupcakes. We got cupcakes and "cutie pies" to celebrate Evan's big milestone.

We headed home after that. Long and exhausting day, but lots of fun to hang with the kiddos and my sister.

I got Chocolate Chip Mint, Dawn got Red Velvet, Evan got some sort of chocolate and Kingston got Snickerdoodle. All SO YUMMY!!!

I can totally relate to your sister. My motto that she is welcome to use (so be sure to share it with her OK?): To be early is to be on time and to be on time is to be late.

Yup, it's a good one!
